Analyse Games has two features that involve artificial intelligence: Ask Analyse, an assistant inside the dashboard, and the MCP server, which lets AI apps you choose read your analytics. This page explains how they work, what data they use, and what you should keep in mind. It also sets out the information we give under Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689).

The short version

  • Ask Analyse is an AI system. Its answers are generated by a large language model, Google Gemini, not written by a person.
  • It answers from your own data, using the same read-only queries as the dashboard. It can't change your games, billing or team.
  • AI answers can be wrong. Check important numbers in the dashboard before acting on them.
  • Neither we nor Google use your data or conversations to train AI models.
  • The MCP server only gives AI apps the games and tools you approve, and only read access. You can disconnect them at any time.

Ask Analyse

What Ask Analyse is

Ask Analyse lets you ask questions about your games in plain language, such as "why did revenue drop last week?". It is available on the Growth, Pro and Network plans, and during the free trial, within the question limits of your plan.

We build and operate Ask Analyse. The language model that generates its answers is Gemini, provided by Google LLC through the Gemini API. The model currently used is gemini-3.5-flash. We may move to a newer model from the same or another provider; if that means a new subprocessor, we tell customers in advance as described in our Data Processing Addendum.

How it works

  1. You ask a question in the Ask Analyse panel.
  2. We send the model your question, the earlier messages in the same conversation, and instructions about how to answer.
  3. The model decides which analytics tools to use, such as "list players", "revenue by item" or "retention by cohort". Our servers run those tools, checking that you are allowed to see the game and feature, and send the results back to the model.
  4. If your plan includes the knowledge base, relevant pages your team wrote can be given to the model as context.
  5. The model writes the answer, which we show you with the tools it used, so you can see where the numbers come from.

What data is sent to Google

  • Your questions and the conversation so far.
  • The results of the analytics tools used to answer. Depending on the question, these can include player data, such as player names and IDs, countries, playtime and purchase amounts.
  • Knowledge base pages used as context.
  • The name and settings of the game or studio you are asking about.

We don't send your password, payment details, or data from games you can't access.

What Google does with it

We use the paid Gemini API. Under Google's terms for it, Google processes prompts and responses to provide the service, does not use them to train or improve its models, and may keep them for a limited period, up to 55 days, only to detect abuse and violations of its policies. Google processes this data as our subprocessor. The data may be processed in the United States; see Subprocessors for the safeguards used.

What we keep

  • Conversations are stored in our EU database so you can come back to them and ask follow-up questions. They are kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete it. You can delete any conversation yourself from the chat history in the panel.
  • We count questions per month to apply your plan's limit.
  • We never use your conversations or data to train AI models, and never use one customer's data in another customer's answers.

Limits of AI answers

  • Answers can be inaccurate or incomplete. A language model can misread a question, choose the wrong tool or describe results wrongly, even when the underlying data is correct.
  • Answers are suggestions to help you analyse your games. They are not financial, legal or professional advice.
  • Don't use Ask Analyse as the only basis for decisions that significantly affect individual players, such as bans or refunds. A person on your team should always make those decisions.
  • If an answer looks wrong or harmful, tell us at [email protected]. A person reads every report.

How AI content is marked

  • Before your first question, the Ask Analyse panel tells you that you are talking to an AI, what that means for accuracy and what data is sent to Google. You can't ask a question until you have acknowledged it. We record when you did.
  • Every answer is labelled "AI generated" in the panel, and charts and answers carry a machine-readable data-ai-generated attribute in the page.
  • When you copy an answer, the formatted (HTML) copy carries a machine-readable marker naming Ask Analyse as an AI system. Plain text can't carry a marker, so if you paste an answer somewhere public, say that it was generated by AI.

The MCP server

What MCP is

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI apps use tools. Our MCP server at mcp.analyse.net lets apps like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor read your analytics through the same queries the dashboard uses. It is available on the Growth, Pro and Network plans, within your plan's limits on connected apps and calls per day.

We don't provide the AI in this case. The app you connect, and the model behind it, are provided by that app's company under your own agreement with them.

How access works

  • An account owner must turn on the MCP server in Account settings, MCP. Until then, no app can connect.
  • Apps that support sign-in send you to analyse.net to approve access. You choose which games the app can read. Other apps use a token you create, where you choose the games and tools.
  • All MCP tools are read-only. An app can never change data, touch billing or manage your team.
  • Tokens are stored only as hashes. You can see when each app was last used and disconnect it at any time.

Where the data goes

When an app calls a tool, we send the results to that app, which passes them to its AI model. The results can include player data. From that point, the app's provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI or Anysphere) processes the data under your agreement with them, not as our subprocessor. Before connecting an app, check that its terms, data location and training settings are acceptable for your players' data, and that your own privacy notice to players covers it.

Your responsibilities

  • Tell your players, in your privacy notice, if you use AI tools to analyse their data.
  • Only connect AI apps you trust, and only give them the games they need.
  • Check AI output before relying on it, especially for decisions about individual players.
