Acquisition

Know which campaign actually paid for itself

Every new player is matched to a traffic source: the domain they joined with, a tracked link, a creator code or Roblox discovery. Their revenue traces back to it for as long as they play.

What Acquisition does for you

Domains players joined with

On Minecraft, every hostname players connect through is recorded, so yt.example.net and vote.example.net each get their own numbers.

Tracked links on Roblox

Share an analyse.net/l link that opens your experience with launch data, and players who join through it are counted for the campaign.

Creator codes

Codes entered in game or at Tebex, PayNow and custom-webhook checkout count for the campaign that owns them, per creator, without a spreadsheet.

Campaigns with a budget

Give a campaign a channel, dates, spend and a revenue goal to see attributed players, conversion, cost per player and return on ad spend.

First-touch attribution

A player keeps the source of their very first session, so a purchase months later still counts for the campaign that brought them.

A funnel per campaign

Joined, played 10 minutes, came back for a second session, purchased. See where a campaign's players drop off.

How you'd use it

Paying a YouTuber for a video

The situation

You paid a YouTuber to feature your server and want to know if it was worth it.

With Analyse

You point yt.play.yourserver.net at your proxy, add it to a campaign with the fee as spend, and the campaign page shows how many players joined through it, how many came back and what they spent against what you paid.

Comparing voting sites

The situation

You list your server on several voting sites and each one has its own vote address.

With Analyse

The Domains view shows players, countries and behaviour per hostname, so you keep the listings that bring players who stay and drop the ones that do not.

A creator code in a Roblox experience

The situation

You give a creator a code that players type into your shop UI.

With Analyse

The module sends the code, the rest of each session is attributed to it, and the creator's campaign shows attributed players and revenue. On Growth and up, the creator can get a Creator login that shows only their own campaigns.

Roblox discovery or your own promotion?

The situation

Your Roblox experience grew this month and you do not know why.

With Analyse

Sources split new players into tracked links, referrals, teleports and discovery, so you can see whether the growth came from Roblox itself or from your own promotion.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a campaign

On the game's Acquisition page, choose New campaign and set its name, channel, start date and attribution window.

  2. 2

    Add tracking

Up to 20 domains per campaign on Minecraft, a tracked link on Roblox, and creator codes on either platform.

  3. 3

    Set spend and a goal

Optional, but it unlocks cost per player and return on spend. Update the amount spent later from the campaign page.

  4. 4

    Read the results

Attributed players, revenue, conversion and a daily chart against the baseline from before the campaign started.

Questions

How do I track where players join my Minecraft server from?

Point extra hostnames like yt.example.net at your server and add them to campaigns. The plugin reports the address each player connected with. On a network, install the plugin on your Velocity or BungeeCord proxy too, because only the proxy sees the hostname.

Does a player still count if they join days after seeing the ad?

Yes, for domains. There is no link to click, so a player who types the address a week later still counts for that campaign.

How do creator codes work with Tebex?

Tebex, PayNow and custom webhooks pass the creator code with the order, and the purchase counts for the campaign that owns the code, even if the player arrived another way.

How do I track Roblox game traffic sources?

The Analyse module records whether a player came through a tracked link, followed a friend, teleported from another place or found the experience through discovery.

Which plan includes campaigns?

Free shows top sources on the overview. Starter includes the full page with 3 running campaigns, 10 tracking links and 5 creator codes. Growth and up removes those limits and adds campaign return and return rate by source.
