Knowledge

A wiki for your game or studio with version history, that Ask Analyse and MCP clients can read.

Updated September 15, 20262 min read

Knowledge is where your team writes down what the numbers cannot tell: what the game is, how progression and the economy work, what shipped in each update and what to do when something goes wrong. Needs the Pro plan or higher.

Open it from Knowledge in a game's or studio's navigation.

Starter pages

The first time you open Knowledge, it is set up with a Workspace and a Team section and example pages to fill in.

  • Games: Start here, About the game, Features and modes, Progression, Economy, Glossary, Updates log, Playbooks (When retention drops, Launching an update) and Staff notes.
  • Studios: Start here, About the studio and Network updates log.

Rename, move or delete them as you like.

Writing pages

  • Organise pages in sections, and nest subpages under any page.
  • Give pages an icon, search across them and @-mention pages or people.
  • Page menu: New subpage, Duplicate, Version history, Copy link, and Move to trash.

Version history

Every save is kept as a version, up to the last 50 per page. Open Version history from the page menu to see or restore one.

If two people edit the same page at once, the second to save chooses: Load their version or Save mine over it.

Trash

Trashed pages can be restored for 30 days, then they are deleted for good.

What Ask Analyse reads

Ask Analyse and connected MCP apps search your Knowledge and read the pages that match a question.

  • A game's assistant reads the game's pages and its studio's pages.
  • Up to 24,000 characters of a page are read at a time, so split very long pages into subpages.

To keep a page private from the assistant, choose Keep out of Ask Analyse in the page menu. Excluding a page also excludes its subpages. Let Ask Analyse read it turns it back on.
