Campaigns

Measure what your marketing brings in: tracked domains, links and creator codes, with players, revenue and return on spend.

A campaign is anything you do to bring players in: a voting site listing, a YouTube video, a creator code, paid ads. Give it a way to recognise players (a domain, a link or a code), and Analyse counts who arrived through it, whether they stayed and what they spent.

Campaigns live on the Acquisition page of each game, under Campaigns. Studios can run one campaign across several games.

How players are attributed

When a player joins, Analyse works out where they came from, in this order:

  1. Tracked link: a Roblox player launched the game with a campaign link's launch data.
  2. Hostname: a Minecraft player connected through a campaign's tracked domain (or any other hostname, recorded as its own source).
  3. Referral: a Roblox player followed a friend.
  4. Teleport: a Roblox player arrived from another place.
  5. Discovery on Roblox, or Direct otherwise.

The result is stamped on the whole session. A player's first campaign stays with them, so revenue they generate later counts for the campaign that brought them.

Creator codes work alongside this: entering a code re-attributes the rest of the session to that code, and a code used at store checkout attributes that purchase.

Campaigns need the Starter plan or higher. Return on spend and studio campaigns need Growth.
