Create a campaign
Set up a campaign in four steps, track spend against a revenue goal and read its results.
Open the game's Acquisition page and choose New campaign. Only Owners and Admins can create or change campaigns.
1. Basics
- Name, up to 64 characters.
- Channel: Voting sites, Creator codes, Email, Paid social, YouTube or Other. It groups campaigns in comparisons.
- Start date and length in days (or no end). A campaign that starts in the future shows as Scheduled.
- Attribution window, 1 to 90 days: how long after arriving a player's purchases still count toward the campaign's results.
2. Tracking
Add what identifies the campaign's players. See Domains, links and creator codes for the details of each.
- Minecraft: up to 20 tracked domains, such as
yt.play.example.net. - Roblox: a tracked link.
- Creator codes for either platform.
A domain or link can only belong to one campaign.
3. Budget and goal
Optional, but it unlocks cost per player and return on spend.
- Spend: a one-off total, per video or a daily rate.
- Budget and revenue goal.
You can update the amount spent later from the campaign page.
4. Review
Check the summary and create. The campaign starts as Live if its start date has passed.
Reading a campaign
The campaign page shows:
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Attributed players | Players whose first campaign is this one |
| Revenue attributed | What those players spent |
| Conversion | Share of attributed players who purchased |
| Cost per player | Spend divided by attributed players |
Below that:
- A daily chart of players or revenue, against a baseline from before the campaign started.
- Budget: spend, revenue goal, pace, return on ad spend (ROAS), cost per player and net.
- A funnel: joined, played 10 minutes or more, came back for a second session, purchased.
- Newest attributed players and breakdowns by source, link, creator code and country.
From the campaign menu you can Pause or Resume, End campaign now, Delete and Export attributed players.
Comparing campaigns
On the Acquisition page, filter by All, Live, Scheduled or Ended, and use Compare campaigns to line up players, revenue, conversion, cost per player and return side by side.
