Segments

Save groups of players by playtime, sessions, spend, country, last seen or source, or from a selection.

A segment is a saved group of players. Segments update as players change: a "big spenders" segment picks up anyone who crosses the threshold.

Build a segment from rules

On the Players page, choose New segment and add conditions. A player must match all of them.

FieldOperatorsExample
Playtime (hours)over, underPlaytime over 20
Sessionsover, underSessions under 3
Spend (USD)over, under, exactlySpend over 50
Countryis, is notCountry is DE
Last seen (days ago)before, afterLast seen before 14 days ago
Traffic sourceis, is notSource is discovery

For example, "at-risk payers": spend over 10, last seen before 14 days ago.

Save a selection

On the Players page, tick players and choose Save as segment. The segment holds exactly those players.

Where segments are used

  • Players page: every segment is a chip above the list, with how many players match. Click one to filter the list; search and quick filters still apply on top.
  • Player profiles: Add to segment puts a player into a segment by hand.
  • MCP and Ask Analyse can list your segments and their sizes (list_segments, see MCP tools).

Segments created on a studio show in every game of that studio.

Who can change them

Owners and Admins can change any segment. Analysts can create segments and change the ones they made.

Segments need the Starter plan or higher.
